Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Aslan is on the Move!

Using an animated version of C.S. Lewis' timeless The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, this five-session or weekend program offers participants an opportunity to experience the story through imaginative role-playing, games and discussion. Perfect for VBS, Lenten programs or intergenerational events!

Dare to be Different

Come on a magical journey with Dare to be Different, using the book A Wrinkle in Time, by beloved Episcopal author Madeleine L'Engle.  This children's program uses games, crafts and other adventures to help us learn about our spiritual gifts and how our differences make us special.

Pilgrimage: Seeking the Kingdom of God

A MEDIEVAL PILGRIMAGE VBS or SUNDAY SCHOOL

by Phyllis Vos Wezeman, Anna L. Liechty and Judith Harris Chase

Take your VBS on a pilgrimage to five Medieval pilgrimages destinations: Rome, Canterbury, Santiago de Compostela, Dunfermline (Scotland) and Croagh Patrick (Ireland). During their imaginary journey, they will learn about the life and legacy of a Saint revered since the Middle Ages and pretend to make the trek to see and hear the story for themselves.

Prayer Trio

THREE Prayer resources for all ages

Praying All the Time is a children's VBS or Lent program.

101 Ways to Pray is a children's rotation workshop model unit.

Teach Us to Pray includes 22 lessons for youth or adults on different ways to pray.

Praying All the Time

USING CHILDREN'S BOOKS TO EXPLORE DIFFERENT WAYS TO PRAY

This creative program teaches children about different forms of prayer using wonderful children's books --- classics such as Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar and works by Tomie dePaola, as well as new favorites like the marvelous Old Turtle by Douglas Wood.

The Good Shepherd

A fun Spring cycle for playing outside while learning about the Good Shepherd who cares for all of us. Activities include: making dioramas, sheep obstacle course and follow the leader, Disney's Finding Nemo (learning about the Parable of the Lost Sheep) and singing hymns and songs about shepherds. Perfect for VBS too!!

The Moses Chronicle

Children examine the life of Moses as the story for this cycle. Using everything from the well-known story of the baby in the bulrushes to clips from Dreamwork's popular Prince of Egypt movie, children will learn about how God called Moses and the encounters with Pharaoh, as well as the plagues, Exodus and Passover.

The Peaceable Kingdom

From the same author who gave us Wizards & Wonders, this amazing new VBS uses Dr. Seuss and other children's book characters to teach children the principles of anti-bullying. Using stories from the Bible and other sources, we help children learn how to spot bullying, how to avoid it, how to develop an action plan if they encounter it, and so much more. Come join us in The Peaceable Kingdom – a magical, life-changing place located somewhere east of Neverland, south of the North Pole, and west of Storybook Land.

Wild Willy and The Prodigal Son

Wild Willy's Candy Factory is based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a children's book by Roald Dahl, published in 1964. This resource was originally conceived as a five-week series to be used in a mid-week program for children during Lent, but it can be adapted to other formats and uses, such as Sunday School or VBS.

Wizards and Wonders

Based on the Harry Potter books, this is one of our most popular resources for a Sunday School break or VBS. A five session program that brings your whole church family together for fun and learning, Wizards and Wonders will surprise you in how well it deals with Christian themes in the popular children's series. Through drama, crafts and games, participants connect the hero's story to Bible stories. In an engaging set of experiences, mirroring some of Harry's, you will explore issues of identity, alliances, team work, spiritual gifts, life's direction, temptations, moral choices, courage and faith.
