Description: For those who are leading or want to lead a LifeCycles Group the Diocese of Northern Michigan is hosting the second annual training workshop.
Plan to arrive on May 11th and leave on May 14th. Training fee is $150 per person if registered by April 15, $175 by May 1st and $200 thereafter. Preferred hotels rates = $57 + tax; meals on your own.
Workshop participants will:
- Become familiar with and comfortable with LifeCycles materials
- Meet with members of existing LifeCycles groups in Northern Michigan, to experience LifeCycles sessions
- Have opportunities to lead and reflect on LifeCycles sessions, thereby gaining a thorough practical knowledge of the pedagogical and ecclesiological underpinnings of the materials
- Learn how to creatively and comfortably adapt LifeCycles to their circumstances and context; Return to their Dioceses with an established relationship with the LifeCycles partnership.

Using an animated version of C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, this five-session or weekend program offers participants an opportunity to experience the story through imaginative role-playing, games and discussion. Great for VBS, Lent or camps & conferences. 
The Journey to Adulthood (J2A) is a complete youth ministry program of spiritual formation for 6th - 12th grades. It uses Bible study, prayer, rites of passage, outreach ministries and both serious and playful activities to underscore its core principles:
Take your VBS children to a different Medieval Pilgrimage destination each day: Rome, Canterbury, Santiago de Compostela, Dunfermline (Scotland) and Croagh Patrick (Ireland). During their imaginary journey, participants learn about the life and legacy of a Saint revered during the Middle Ages and pretend to make the trek to see and hear the story for themselves.

Based on the Harry Potter books, this is one of our most popular resources for a Sunday School break or VBS. 
WorkshopCycles is a new way of experiencing Sunday School. It takes seriously the spiritual development of children while providing creative, hands-on activities to help children learn the stories of God and God's people. Children work on the same story or concept for several weeks, using different learning approaches each week. Available as both an annual membership or as individual cycles.
