This Advent cycle is about the birth of Jesus and the amazing ways in which that Gift changed everything for all of us. It is about gifts and getting ready and not just about retelling the central Christmas story. Even very young children are somewhat familiar with the details of angels and shepherds and wise men, but how can we dig deeper than that? How do we talk with children about preparing ourselves for the gift of "God With Us" and what do we do with this precious gift we have received? This cycle will aid you in these discussions.
This Advent cycle contains seven "workshops," using the rotation workshop model. Explore the themes preparing and sharing through art, computer drama, movie, story, ktichen and music workshops.
