Caroline is the Director of Children at Worship-Congregations in Bloom, and has served on liturgical design teams for national and diocesan conferences as well as parish priest. During her years of service as the vicar of Holy Family Church in Half Moon Bay, CA, she created a worshiping community which is fully inclusive of its children and youth, and watched that sense of inclusion spill over to all the decision making bodies of the church. Holy Family has been lifted up as a model for family worship across the country and abroad, and has been featured in Diocesan newspapers and Episcopal Life. Caroline's book, Children at Worship- Congregations in Bloom, was published by Church Publishing, Inc. in the year 2000 and is now available through LeaderResources. Out of that experience, Carolyn and her husband, Jim Sims developed The Bloom Boxa collection of resources designed to help congregations replicate their work.
