StoryKeepers

StoryKeepers

The following programs are part of the StoryKeepers program. The core program is an adventure series
with a biblical theme – a group of children are on the run from persecution in Nero’s Rome. While
hiding them in his bakery, Ben tells them stories of the life of Jesus. It works extremely well for a
general audience and it has been highly praised for its authenticity combined with its ability
to engage and entertain.

The series and the 2 specials based upon it were popular television shows in England; they have now been
translated into multiple languages and sold in 105 countries. We offer the original video program and supplemental materials below. The original StoryKeepers has a Spanish language track and the Teacher's Guide has a Spanish language translation. You can find descriptions of all of the Spanish language
resources in Spanish by going to our Spanish language section on the main menu
(Children > Sunday School > Recursos En Español)

THE STORYKEEPERS HOME EDITION

This is the home version of The Storykeepers, an animated video series created for children that tells the story of Ben the baker, and his wife Helena, who are Christians in Rome at the time of the Neronian persecutions (64 A.D.). Ben and Helena have adopted four children whose parents were lost during the fires set by Emperor Nero. The hope-giving stories and parables of Jesus are told in the course of their exciting adventures, including the passion narrative from the Gospel of Mark.

Marcus Box

The MARCUS Box has been developed as the key to an outreach/mission program to build on the proven success of Storykeepers being attractive to unchurched children. The MARCUS Box includes a DVD with the first two episodes of StoryKeepers along with the Gospel of Mark, a board game and stickers -- your gift to children in your neighborhood or to use in other contexts. But it was designed as a way to gently introduce children to Jesus and to invite them to church.

StoryKeepers Teacher Guide

Each StoryKeeper's Kit comes with one copy of the Teacher's Guide the provides lesson plans and activities for Sunday School or special programs. If you need additional copies, you can order as many copies as desired. This will enable more than one classroom to share the StoryKeeper Kit as you can divide the four DVDs among 2-4 classes.

The Story Lives On

The Story Lives On is a resource that turns The Storykeepers into a series of intergenerational workshops that help participants enter into the exciting world of biblical storytelling. They hear the stories, as though for the first time, and are invited to enter into the story with their whole selves -- thoughts, feelings, ideas, life experiences and faith responses. And they discover themselves as part of that great community of those who have remembered, told, and lived out the stories of Jesus for 2000 years. The workshops are a great way to build a strong community. Each workshop is built around a meal, listening to the stories on video and participating in a series of activities and discussions.
