Dare to be Different is a magical journey, using the book A Wrinkle in Time, by beloved Episcopal author Madeleine L'Engle. This resource is written as a one week, 5 sessions, Vacation Bible School for children ages 5-12 but could be adapted for other uses.

 

Take your VBS children to a different Medieval Pilgrimage destination each day: Rome, Canterbury, Santiago de Compostela, Dunfermline (Scotland) and Croagh Patrick (Ireland). During their imaginary journey, participants learn about the life and legacy of a Saint revered during the Middle Ages and pretend to make the trek to see and hear the story for themselves.

Wild Willy’s Candy Factory is a program based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a children’s book by Roald Dahl and uses clips from the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Conceived as a five-week series to be used in a mid-week program for children during Lent it can be adapted to other formats and uses, such as Sunday School or VBS.

This single lesson explores the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly to help children understand change and transformations in themselves, in life and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. (1st-2nd Grade)

 

Nine sessions lead fifth and sixth graders through "The Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, comparing it to Christian life and the teachings of Jesus.
